Important Skills of a Successful Entrepreneur

Every entrepreneur must learn skills to help their business grow. The key to have skills is to apply the studied knowledge. Having skills will be the best foundation that makes entrepreneur grows and be successful in their business. It  is also a big advantage in business.

 

Here are the skills that each entrepreneurs must have:

1. Leadership - the ability to lead, influence, motivate and build respect. This skill can be developed and be applied to any situation where you are required to take the lead especially in business. Having this skill must require building credibility to make other people trust and follow them.

To be a leader, you must be responsible in all actions, decisions and growth of your member. The cooperation between leader and  members is the most important key to hit the goal in business.

2. Project Management Skill - This skill will cover about the planning, estimating of tasks, breaking down the tasks into achievable part, measure and record the progress of every task.  The process of project management will organize the tasks of each business part to achieve the goal of the business operation.

3. Marketing Skill - Marketing is a form of communication between you and your customers with the goal of selling your product or service to them. Communicating the value of your product or service is a key aspect of marketing. (source: http://www.entrepreneur.com/topic/marketing).  

 

 

This is the most challenging skill because you'll need to create strategies on how to introduce the products to your target market/buyer or customer. To execute this skill, you need to study the advertising and branding.

4. Selling Skill - the skill you need to close sales. Selling is defined as the exchange of product/item into money. 

 

There are 9 essential skills in selling : prospecting, questioning, listening, presentation skills, report building, objection handling, persistence, organizational skills and focus. In my next blog post I will discuss the 9 essential selling skills.
