Challenges in Starting a Business (As a True Entrepreneur )

Every business especially in start-up have challenges to overcome to be successful in business. The challenge may make you grow or make your business down. In starting a business as an entrepreneur, you need to have the right mindset to face the challenges. These are:
1. Having the right attitude - practice the right attitude in your work or task. Keep in mind that you are the business owner and you are the foundation of the whole business. Also practice the right discipline to make your task done in time.
2. Creating quality product - your product is important asset of your business. Make it more valuable and high quality that will satisfy your customer.
4. Measuring progress-  your business is not only for the profit, as an entrepreneur you need to measure your progress and self development to take you to the next level of your entrepreneurial career.

To start your journey as an entrepreneur you need to find direction and your passion (as I mention in my previous article). To achieve your success in business, the most difficult part is to start. It requires patience, discipline and right attitude. Just consider this principle "start and improve your work along the way". Do not expect to create masterpiece at the beginning. The important is to start and to validate your learning to improve things in your business.

Next thing is practice. Consider these 3 A
1. Awkward - at the start, you feel that you're doing awkward about your product or business. However do it anyway until you acquire something.
2. Acquire - acquire something that made you learn. It is also okay if you commit mistakes, it is part of learning. You'll be able to correct something as your work/tasks move.
3. Automatic - after the awkward and acquire, all the learning about your task/work will became automatic. It means that even you do it again from the start, you can do it right and easily.

Remember, practice makes perfect. Do it with discipline and right management.

Another challenge that you need to understand is the management side. Entrepreneurship is also a form of management. Management skill is important for every entrepreneur to enhance and maintain the existing product. Here are the activities that requires management skill for entrepreneurs.
1. Planning - As an entrepreneur, mostly your are the business owner. You are responsible to do plans about the success of your business.
2. Operation - The daily operation of your business is your responsibility. To make it easy, consider to set-up your operation in automatic mode. Think of some products or business that you need to work with automatic operation (meaning you don't need to be present in operation so you could focus on planning and getting customers. ).
3. Ability to acquired new customers and serving the existing ones - Important part of the challenge is to get new customers and serving the existing. Because, it is the part that you earned profit.
4. Improving the existing products - To earn and to grow your business, you need to improve your successful product.

To achieve the right management skill, you need to create strategy. This is the starting point to practice the better management. The strategy must focus on the vision of  business. Here are the example of strategy.
1. Business Model
2. Product route map
3. Point of view about partners and competitors
4. Ideas about who will be the customers
